It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month! October 2020. Let's get rid of breast cancer!

6 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I felt this weird hard lump deep in my left breast, and was like this doesn't feel good. I was scared. No I was petrified. Could this be BC? But I compelled myself to get a mammogram ASAP. I'm 42 years old. Super healthy and I breast feed by baby for two years straight which is supposed to make getting BC much lower and get this... I have no family history of breast cancer at all. 2 weeks ago, I underwent a left breast mastectomy to get rid of my cancer. Early screening is essential. Had I had a mammogram when I turned 40, I probably wouldn't have had to undergo what I went through. If you haven't had a mammogram yet, and you are 40 years or older please please I beg you to just go. Put yourself and health first. Breast cancer is real. It can strike at anytime. And raising awareness of early breast screening, regular annual mammograms can and will save lives! I am forever grateful to all of the amazing warrior women who have come before me! The women now that are with me that have breast cancer and continue to fight every single day! And the incredible breast cancer research doctors, surgeons nurses and scientists that are simply earth angels. I am now devoted to fighting my breast cancer and raising money to continue to support breast cancer research, forever.
